Stanford 3/2
Imagine you're at matchpoints and every trick matters. How do you play? My partner for GNT-C played this hand and took the maximum number of tricks. I am a lucky guy.
If hearts are 2-2, I can test clubs before drawing the last trump. If clubs are 4-1 and they get a club ruff, I'll recover that trick when I ruff the 4th round of clubs, and promote my 5th club as a trick. If clubs are 3-2, I can draw the last trump, then run clubs.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure you meant if hearts are 3-2, but yes, well played
